Crafted out of funds left by pioneer Stephen G. Skidmore and friends after his passing, the Skidmore Fountain is a tribute to the entire Portland community. Designed by Olin Warner, the 14-foot high bronze fountain features two caryatids holding up a massive basin from which water pours into the larger pool below. It is located in Ankeny Plaza in Downtown, where the Portland Saturday Market takes place by Burnside Bridge.
