Created around the remnants of an extinct volcano, Mount Tabor Park's 195 acres have miles of incredibly scenic walking and hiking trails winding all around the slopes. Areas around the flattened peak of the hill have been transformed into courts for various sports, an amphitheater and picnic sites. The park also holds a statue of the 19th century editor of The Oregonian Harvey W. Scott, an off-leash area for dogs and three water reservoirs. It is in the Mount Tabor neighborhood of southeastern Portland, next to Warner Pacific College.
Park open daily 5:00 a.m. - midnight. Off-leash area open daily 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
