In existence since 1974, the Portland Saturday Market serves as an event for local artisans to congregate and sell their wares. Products range from handcrafted jewelry to musical instruments, to clothing and personal care products. A food court sells all kinds of exotic and flavorful meals and snacks and a main stage theater puts on a variety of musical performances by local groups. The fair takes place underneath the Burnside Bridge in Portland's Old Town district.
