Every time I make it back to Portland, I have to get a pepperoni pizza from Flying Pie. Simply the best pepperoni I have ever had, and I am a big pepperoni pizza lover.

Flying Pie. I was a bit hesitant to try this place since they had so many locations around and thought it would be "not so original chain pizza"... but decided to try it since they're one of the few places that offer gluten-free crust. Dude. I ordered a gluten-free pie and I was pleasantly surprised. Piled high with toppings! I mean it. Every time i go there it's the same... BAM! Like there was a mushroom, olive, mozzarella avalanche in the kitchen! The cheese they use is top quality and boy do they cover that pizza with it. I believe they use Nu-grain gluten-free crusts which are used in a few other pizza parlors around town. A good tasting, thin crust that somehow magically holds the toppings they dump on there. Their house dough/crust is good too. A little thicker than I like... but it tastes very good. They also sell pizza by the slice 11-4. Go check em out. The Academy Theatre next door sells Flying Pie by the slice too.
