GiGi Salon & Spa was first opened in 2002 in the SW Park block which encompasses Portland State University, Art Museum, Portland Opera House and culminates rich cultural events such as the Farmers Market and the Art & Wine Exhibition to name a few. More than 3 years after GiGi salon opened its doors, GiGi has worked to assembled a team of technical experts and trend advisors who study to stay current with - and receive training in - the most fashion forward looks for men and women. Stylists consult with clients about their goals and desires for style, color and texture. Each category is given careful consideration before any changes are made.

The manner in which we serve our guests is a life philosophy that extends far beyond the relaxing walls of our salons. Walking in and getting a pedicure here is a treat. I go to the Washington Square Shop and its my "me time". Ashe is always friendly and happy to see me and her massage leaves me ready to skip. Because it is an Aveda Salon I love the smells and the sense of peace I feel with the Day Spa like atmosphere. I also enjoy the facial treatment and skin care help.

Untill I started getting my hair done with Felicia @ Gigi's Aveda Salon, I had never been satisfied. She is the first person that for a reasonable price, I can get my hair cut and colored perfectly and reliably everytime! I say it's perfect because my hair has only ever been a problem with getting the right color. Well Felicia gets the color and highlightes perfect everytime. She has it down to a science! And she is reliable because she never fails. This is the most capable and professional beautician I have ever had. Gigi's salon and Felicia happen to be a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. Thanks Felicia, for knowing your job!

I had Felicia cut my hair and I liked it there, but once I got home it just did all kinds of weird flips and I ended up putting my hair up in a clip everyday after. Also was not cut as short as I wanted.

This salon is great. I have been coming to Felicia for about a year and always love my color and cut every time. My highlights are beautiful and this is confirmed by all of the compliments that I receive. If you are looking for a stylist that understands hair coloring, she is for you.

the front stylist were not friendly. They also do not take walk-ins. I live four hours away and came to shop and explore portland. I came in twice to see if they could fit me in and after I was told to come back at a certain hour so that I could get my hair done and was turned away the second time. Never well I ever stop by this place again!
