Confused!

Posted by ckangel75 on 7/2/2009

I had my car towed to Olson Bros Auto Repair on Monday after it broke down. After inspecting the car, they told me that it would cost $319.00. I wasn't thrilled about that, but I okayed the work. I called on Wednesday and they told me that they had good news for me, it was only going to cost $165.00. Awesome! I got a message from them Wednesday night saying that my car was done. I called Thursday and they said it wasn't quite done yet. Okay! I called on Friday and they told me my car was done and it was going to cost $360.00. What?????? I reminded him that he had told me just two days before that it was only going to be $165. He said he didn't know who had told me that (it was the same guy I was speaking to, I think his name was Gary or Jerry), but they were wrong. In the end they dropped the price down to the original $319 that they had originally quoted me. The car works fine now and had it not been for them getting my hopes up about the lower price, I would have been completely satisfied.
